Disneyland is the Happiest Place on Earth – the original theme park dreamed of, designed and built by Walt Disney.
Today Disneyland Resort includes two theme parks – the original Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure – along with three resort hotels and a separate shopping and dining area called Downtown Disney.
One of the reasons I love Disneyland is how close everything is. The hotels, theme parks and Downtown Disney are all within walking distance of each other. While Walt Disney World is big and spread out, Disneyland is intimate and charming but with the same fun and excitement as Walt Disney World.
In addition to the on-site resort hotels, there are several ‘good neighbor’ hotels in easy walking distance of Disneyland.
