Margaret’s Even More Ways To Splurge At Walt Disney World

When Walt Disney thought his artists and theme park designers could make a scene in a movie and something in a ride or attraction better, he would tell them to ‘plus it’.  That meant take something that was already great and make it better.

I love the idea of ‘plussing’ my Walt Disney World vacations with a few splurges and last year I posted my Top 5 Ways To Splurge at Walt Disney World, but quickly realized my list was a lot longer than that and posted 5 More Ways To Splurge At Walt Disney World.

Now it’s time for the third installment:

Enjoy A Spa Day

Walt Disney World has three world-class, full-service spas that offer a complete selection of therapies designed to relax and rejuvenate.

– Senses – A Disney Spa and Salon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

–  The Senses Spa – at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

–  The Mandara Spa at the Walt Disney World Dolphin in the Epcot resorts area.

The Grand Floridian Senses Spa also offers a full-service salon and manicures for kids 4 – 12.

There are also smaller locations in other resorts that offer massage and salon services as well

Enjoy a Night Out While the Kids Visit Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew

Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew offers a supervised evening experience for the little one’s ages 4 – 12 so parents can enjoy a night out.

Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew at Disney’s Beach Club Resort teaches youngsters pirate ways and lets them follow clues that will lead to hidden treasure and being named to Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew. Armed with clues, young buccaneers will comb through the resort and set sail on a pontoon boat around Crescent Lake, in the latest seafaring adventure at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

Once the treasure is unearthed, all join in a Pirate feast that includes selections such as Cannon Meatballs with marinara or macaroni and “gold” sauce for entrees, along with a treasure chest treat or fruit for dessert.

The hours are 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Parents are welcome to drop off their kids as early as 4:30 PM at Seaside Retreat in Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

Stay in a Villa

In addition to regular rooms and suites, most Walt Disney World deluxe resorts also offer villas – a larger space with a full kitchen, extra bathrooms and a washer & dryer.

Intimate Dining at the Grand Floridian

Celebrate a special occasion or just that someone special with a private dinner at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

You’ll enjoy an amazing dinner from Citrico’s – served by your personal butler for the evening – on a private balcony overlooking Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

Take A Dinner Cruise on the Grand One

‘Plus’ that special dinner experience on the Grand Floridian Resort’s 52-foot yacht – the Grand One.

You’ll enjoy the same private dining experience and butler while you cruise the waterways around the Grand Floridian and the Magic Kingdom.  Finish the night watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the deck of the Grand One.

If you’ve got a larger group, you can book the Grand One for up to 18 people
