Story Book Dining with Snow White at Artists Point

Story Book Dining with Snow White at Artists Point

Dining with the characters is a big part of the Walt Disney World experience, and yes, it’s something I still enjoy and do on almost every trip.

Here’s a look at my Top 5 (+2) Walt Disney World character meals.

Story Book Disney with Snow What at Artist Point

This is the newest character meal at Walt Disney World and now one of favorites.  It’s a beautiful location inside Disney’s Wilderness Lodge resort with really good food.  The appetizers and desserts are served family style, and everyone selects from nice list of entrees.

The character interactions are super fun with Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy visiting your table.  At the end of your meal can meet the Evil Queen and get a photo at her special location.

Check out my video about Story Book Dining at the end of this post.

Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

I think is a fun dinner with great characters and character interaction.  You’ll meet Cinderella and Prince Charming who will lead everyone in a dance around the room, but the real fun is when Cinderella’s step sisters and stepmother come around.

The dinner is a pretty tradition buffet with a separate kid’s area.

Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

This is another good one in the Epcot resorts area.  Instead of a buffet you select from a short menu of breakfast entrees.  A selection of pastries is also included.

What’s fun about this meal is that you’ll meet princesses and their princes – there is Ariel with Prince Eric and Rapunzel with Flynn Rider

Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot

If you really want to dine with the princesses this is the place to do it! Your meal starts out front with a meet and photo with a princess (usually Belle), then during the meal at least four other princesses will visit your table.

The meal service is part buffet and part from a menu. Yes, there is some Norwegian food on the buffet and menu but there are plenty of other choices for every taste.  Akershus is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

** But what about Cinderella’s Royal Table in the castle!?

Everybody should do Cinderella’s Royal Table at least once, but it’s a little hard to get in and it’s a little more expensive so I do Akershus when I need a princess fix.

Minnie’s Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Honestly, the buffet here is pretty standard but I LOVE that the characters change costumes with the seasons.

You’ll start at the front door meeting and taking a photo Mickey Mouse himself. During your meal Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck and Goofy will visit your table.

The current lineup of seasons is

Clearly, I’m not so good at following the rules – I’ve got to add in a couple of Honorable Mentions

Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast at the Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion at Epcot

Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast offers character dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You’ll meet Chip, Dale, Pluto and Mickey Mouse in their best farmer outfits.

The food is served family style and if there’s something you like they’re happy to bring more. This is a real ‘meat and potatoes’ meal that we enjoy.  It’s neat that some of the vegetables served are grown right there in the Land Pavilion.

Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and His Pals at the Four Seasons

Did you know there is a Four Seasons Resort right in the middle of the Walt Disney World property…and they have a really fun character breakfast.  It’s not technically a Disney resort so you’ll need a car or service to get there, but it’s definitely something to try at least once.

The buffet and omelet station are great…but I really love the spring-like, golf/tennis attire the characters are wearing!

The Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and His Pals takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays—and Tuesdays during school break periods—from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM and includes a complimentary download of digital photos!
