Walt Disney World Magic Band

Your Walt Disney World Magic Band holds your hotel key, you theme park tickets, your FastPasses and your Memrory Maker photo packages

What is Fast Pass at Walt Disney World and How Much Does It Cost?

FastPass+ is Walt Disney World’s attraction ‘reservation system’ that places you in a short line or special area for rides, shows and character meets.

Below I’ve tried to answer some of the most common questions I get about FastPass+.

– How Much Does FastPass+ Cost?

Nothing – it is included as part of your theme park admission.

– When Do I Book My FastPasses?

Guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort can book FastPasses at 7:00am Florida time (eastern) up to 60 days prior to check-in. If you would like, I am more than happy to book your FastPasses for you – that’s one of the services I provide and I do it several times a week..

I strongly suggest you do your original FastPass+ reservations on a computer and not on the My Disney Experience app – the app just doesn’t work as well outside Walt Disney World.

– How Many FastPasses Can I Get?

You can make 3 FastPass+ reservations per day at one theme park.

– That’s All?

After you have used your 3 FastPasses for the day you can get more but only one at a time. You can do this via the My Disney Experience app (that’s the best way) or at the FastPass+ kiosks in the theme parks.

If you Park Hop to another theme park during the same day you can make one at a time FastPasses there as well but only if you’ve already used your original 3 FastPasses for the day.

– How Do I Use a FastPass?

Each attraction or show will have a separate entrance marked as FastPass+. When it’s your scheduled time you will scan your Magic Band at the FastPass+ entrance (it works just like the park entrance but without the finger scan).

– Does My 2-Year-Old Need Their Own FastPass?

No, children 3 and under don’t need a FastPass.

– Can I Make FastPass+ Reservations For My Entire Party At The Same Time?

Sure. Prior to your FastPass+ selection time I can link all your group members together. Only one person will need to make FastPass reservations for the whole family/group.

It’s also possible for members of the same large party to have different FastPasses – that’s something I can take care of or cover with you if needed.

– Do I Have To Show Up At A Specific Time For My FastPasses?

Yes. When you select your FastPasses you will choose a one-hour time frame and you must use the FastPass during that time frame. If you don’t use it during that one hour it will expire.

However, you can use the My Disney Experience app to adjust the time window depending on availability. It’s a little tricky the first time you try it, but I can help you with that.

– What Are FastPass+ Tiers

At Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom the FastPasses are separated in to Tier 1 and Tier2. At these parks you can pick 1 FastPass+ from Tier 1 and 2 from Tier 2.

FastPass+ tiers change regularly – ask me for details.

– Can I Buy Extra FastPasses?

If you are staying in a Club Level room, you currently have the option to purchase 3 additional FastPasses per day.

Note that this is still considered a ‘pilot program’ and could end at any time – always check with me for the latest information.
