Child Care Options at Walt Disney World

Child Care Options at Walt Disney World

I love the idea of a parent’s night out during your Walt Disney World trip – there are some fantastic restaurants for a nice romantic, special occasion or just a casual, adults only dinner. There are also some great lounges for a little quiet, relaxing time without the kids.

There are two options for supervised childcare at Walt Disney World

Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew at Disney’s Beach Club Resort

This a supervised nighttime experience for kids age 4 – 12 that allows the parents to enjoy a little grown up time.

Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew at Disney’s Beach Club Resort teaches youngsters pirate ways and lets them follow clues that will lead to hidden treasure and being named to Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew. Armed with clues, young buccaneers will comb through the resort and set sail on a pontoon boat around Crescent Lake, in the latest seafaring adventure at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

Once the treasure is unearthed, all join in a Pirate feast that includes selections such as Cannon Meatballs with marinara or macaroni and “gold” sauce for entrees, along with a treasure chest treat or fruit for dessert.

The hours are 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Parents are welcome to drop off their kids as early as 4:30 PM at Seaside Retreat in Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

In Room Baby Sitting

Walt Disney World allows an independent childcare provider called Kid’s Nite Out to do babysitting in the comfort of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room for kids 6 months to 12 years old.

Kids Nite Out is the only Walt Disney World approved company and the only one I will book.

Arts and crafts, reading and playing games are among the activities they provide.

The price is per hour and pricing is based on the number of children. Some minimums and fees may apply.

You can also make arrangements with Kids Nite Out to provide childcare assistance in the parks.

Walt Disney World VIP Tour Services is another option if you would like a little help with the kids while you are visiting the theme parks.  Learn more about that in my post here: http://bit.ly/WDWVIPTours
